1. About us
BM Hardware is a trading division of BM Hardware Ltd, a private company registered in England (No. 04812334) with its registered office at Maxwell Road, Middlesbrough, TS3 8TE. Our VAT registration number is GB 821 4419 26.
2. Forming a contract
Your order is an offer to buy from us. We accept your offer when we send a dispatch confirmation email — at that point a binding contract is formed. We may refuse an order before dispatch if (a) the item is out of stock, (b) we suspect fraud, or (c) the price was listed incorrectly. In any of those cases we'll refund any payment in full.
3. Prices & payment
Prices on this site are shown inc-VAT by default; you can switch to ex-VAT using the toggle in the header. Trade-account discounts (where applicable) are applied at the cart stage after you log in.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your card details. Trade accounts on 30-day terms are invoiced at month-end.
4. Delivery
Delivery costs and timeframes are set out on our Delivery page. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery; legal title passes on receipt of cleared payment. You must inspect goods on receipt and notify us of any visible transit damage within 48 hours.
5. Cancellation & returns
You have 14 days from receipt to cancel a non-cut-to-length order under the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. See our Returns page for the full process.
6. Warranties
Unless stated otherwise, hardware is warranted for 24 months from delivery. This warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not cover (a) fair wear and tear, (b) damage caused by incorrect fitting, (c) consequential damage to surrounding components.
7. Limits of liability
Our total liability under any single contract is limited to the price you paid for the goods. We don't exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation — UK consumer law gives you certain non-excludable rights, and nothing here affects those.
8. Data & privacy
We handle your personal data in accordance with our Privacy policy.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time — the version that applies to your order is the version published on this site at the time you place it.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
